The opening video hypes the Best of the Super Jr. tournament.  The announcers presumably recap and hype stuff.

Jushin Thunder Liger, Ryusuke Taguchi, & AKIRA vs. Davey Richards, Tama Tonga, & King Fale.  Liger and Richards start.  They do some wrestling, then Richards does a back bridge and kicks Liger in the head.  They do a quick cradle reversal bit on the mat.  After some hopping around, Richards gets a reverse cradle for 2, then turns it into a surfboard, then turns it back into a reverse cradle for 2.  Liger turns it into a surfboard of his  own.  Taguchi runs in and dropkicks Richards in the head.  Taguchi tags in and he and Liger split the wish bone on Richards.  Tonga tags in and beats up Taguchi a bit.  New Japan’s newest young lion King Fale tags in for my first look at him.  The Tongans double team Taguchi a bit.  Taguchi gets Fale into his corner and tags in AKIRA.  AKIRA attacks Fale’s leg.  Liger comes in to continue that work while taunting Richards and Tonga.  Taguchi takes a turn attacking the leg too.  Taguchi and AKIRA try to double suplex the big Tongan Fale, but fail (pun not intended).  Clusterfuck kind of ensues.  Fale hits a Samoan drop on AKIRA for 2, as Liger saves.  Taguchi hits a dive on somebody.  AKIRA locks Fale in his modified STF that I’ve decided to call the STA.  Richards breaks it.  Taguchi disposes of Richards.  Taguchi hits a frog splash on Fale.  AKIRA follows with the Musasabi press for the pin in 8:11.  It was fine.

Best of the Super Jr. – Block B: Kenny Omega vs. Nobuo Yoshihashi.  They slap hands, then lock up and go at it.  No clean breaks here.  Brief mat wrestling bit just to get the stalemate, applause bit.  Yoshihashi grabs a headlock and lands on his feet when Omega backdrops him.  They chop each other.  Yoshihashi hits some arm drags.  Another stalemate and applause.  Omega grounds Yoshihashi with a headlock.  Back on their feet, the trade forearms.  Omega chokes Yoshihashi with his boot in the corner.  Omega hits a Frankensteiner, then a drop toe hold, then a sliding dropkick to the head for 2.  Omega works over Yoshihashi’s leg.  Yoshihashi gets a rope break to escape what I think is an Indian Death Lock.  Omega picks up Yoshihashi and rams his shin into the turnbuckle.  Omega kicks the leg and gets him in a leg hold.  Yoshihashi gets a rope break.  Omega continues working the leg.  Yoshihashi gets a cradle out of nowhere for 2.  Omega kicks his leg some more.  Yoshihashi replies with elbows and chops.  Omega kicks him down.  Yoshihashi hits a jawbreaker and lands a dropkick.  Yoshihashi starts making a comeback.  He hits his weird side suplex drop thing for 2.  Yoshihashi hits a missile dropkick for 2.  Omega takes his leg out again and his a move that looks like he botched his bulldog thing for 2.  Omega hits the Staggerin’ Blow (he has his own name for it, but I can’t remember it) for 2.  Yoshihashi rolls through a Frankensteiner and gets a sunset flip for 2.  They trade blows again.  Yoshihashi lands a flying forearm for 2.  Yoshihashi hits a German suplex hold for 2.  Yoshihashi goes for a Swanton, but Omega moves.  Omega goes for a la magistral, but Yoshihashi ends up on top for 2.  Omega hits a release Dragon suplex and the Hadouken.  Omega hits the Croyt’s Wrath for the pin in 14:21.  Pretty good match.  I’m starting to like young Yoshihashi.  They shake hands before the ring boys help Yoshihashi to the back.

Omega’s post-match interview.  He says looking good for the fans is more important than winning.  Well that’s a stupid thing to say.

Best of the Super Jr. – Block A: KUSHIDA vs. Gedo.  These two have heat going back to the Super J Tag tournament.  Gedo attacks KUSHIDA on the ramp with a Singapore cane and canes him a bunch before the match actually starts.  Once it does start, Gedo chokes KUSHIDA with his own shirt.  Gedo beats up KUSHIDA and cuts him off quickly when he tries to make a comeback.  Gedo throws KUSHIDA outside and abuses him at ringside, ramming his face into the announcers’ table.  Gedo throws KUSHIDA into some chairs and goes back inside.  KUSHIDA barely beats the count back in.  Gedo punishes him for having such nerve by continuing to choke and beat the shit out of him.  Also, gouging his eyes.  They go outside again and Gedo canes KUSHIDA some more.  Back inside, KUSHIDA finally manages to make a comeback by landing some dropkicks.  KUSHIDA backdrops Gedo to the apron and nails him with an elbow smash, then rams his head into the turnbuckle.  KUSHIDA runs up and down the ramp and nails Gedo with a flip dive off of the ramp.  Back in the ring, KUSHIDA hits a diving cross body for 2.  Gedo hits a DDT for 2.  Gedo hits a superkick for 2.  Gedo tries to use the cane again, but KUSHIDA dodges it.  KUSHIDA considers using the cane, but throws it again.  Gedo pokes him in the eye.  KUSHIDA lands a Buzzsaw kick for 2.  KUSHIDA hits a moonsault press for 2.  Gedo hits KUSHIDA in the balls and shoves the referee, then headbutts KUSHIDA in the balls.  The referee finally DQs Gedo in 10:11.  King Fale offers KUSHIDA an ice pack for his balls, but KUSHIDA declines.  Man, you have to do a lot to get DQ’d in Japan.  The match was quite fun.

KUSHIDA’s post-match interview.  I can only assume he says something to the effect of “Fuck you, Gedo!”

New Japan Seikigun & Aogi-gun vs. CHAOS Special Ten Man Tag Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hirooki Goto, IWGP Tag Team Champions Yuji Nagata & Wataru Inoue, & CMLL World Trios Champion La Sombra vs. Toru Yano, Takashi Iizuka, NO LIMIT, & Tomohiro Ishii.  Yano spits water at Tanahashi and everyone starts brawling.  Tanahashi ducks a double clothesline from NO LIMIT and dropkicks them both.  Sombra hits a diving moonsault to the outside on Naito and Ishii.  The heels are all cleared out of the ring now.  It finally settles down, with Tanahashi and Yano going at it.  Nagata tags in and works Yano’s arm.  Goto tags in and continues that work.  Yano pokes Goto in the eye and knows Tanahashi off the apron.  Goto lands a lariat on Yano.  Tanahashi comes in and puts the boots to his enemy.  Tanahashi and Goto double team Yano.  Shit breaks lose again and Goto gets chaired by Iizuka and Yujiro on the outside.  Iizuka chairs Nagata and Sombra too.  When things get back in order, Ishii and Goto go at it in the ring.  Naito continues the working over of Goto.  Iizuka tags in and chokes Goto with his chain while Yujiro distracts the referee.  Iizuka covers Goto for 2, then chokes him with the chain again.  The referee (I think it’s Tiger Hattori) tells Iizuka to cut that shit out.  Yujiro beats up Goto and attacks Nagata just to antagonize him.  Yujiro puts Goto in a camel clutch and Naito hits a springboard dropkick.  Yujiro covers for 2, as Inoue saves.  Yano tags in and tries to suplex Goto, but Goto Hulks up and suplexes Yano, then hits him with an enzuigiri and makes the tag to Tanahashi.  Tanahashi and Yano continue their war.  Tanahashi hits the Sling Blade and goes up top, but Iizuka grabs his leg allowing Yano to throw him off Flair-style.  Tanahashi locks Yano in a Dragon sleeper, but Ishii breaks it.  Tanahashi throws Ishii out of the ring and continues to beat up his rival.  Yano catches Tanahashi and slams him.  Nagata and Yujiro tag in and unleash their hatred on each other.  Yujiro powerslams Nagata and tags in Naito.  NO LIMIT try to double team Nagata, but fail.  Inoue comes in and spears Yujiro.  Sombra tags in.  Naito and Ishii try to double team him, but Sombra overcomes him and hits a rana on Naito.  Sombra hits a diving sunset flip on Naito for 2.  Naito hits a flying forearm.  All hell breaks loose.  NO LIMIT hit a double team move on Sombra.  Naito covers, but Inoue saves.  Naito goes for a German suplex, but Sombra lands on his feet.  Naito kicks Sombra in the balls.  Yujiro lariats Sombra, then Naito catches Sombra with a jackknife hold for the pin in 13:08.  Really fun and solid match.  Naito goes for Sombra’s mask, but Tanahashi prevents such shenanigans.
