CM Punk is sitting Indian style in the ring. We’re LIVE from Chicago. He cuts a promo about Randy Orton. He blames the New Nexus for their own misfortunes. Orton hits the DDT OF MURDER and humps the mat despite his injured knee. Orton goes for the punt, but his knee gives out and Punk escapes. He realizes that this would be a good time to take advantage of a wounded opponent and returns to the ring to taunt him, then kicks him in the injured knee. Punk delivers the Go 2 Sleep.

Michaels is mad that Triple H thinks he can do what Michaels couldn’t. Triple H says Michaels has gone soft. He talks about Undertaker’s dedication and says that’s why he chose to pattern himself after Taker. Triple H has this really great bit about how he and Shawn made a pact to tell each other when it was time to leave, and now he’s telling Taker it’s time for him to leave out of respect. Taker says if he ever needed someone to put him down, he’d want it to be Triple H, but it’s not time for that yet. He says he and the streak will both survive Mania. Taker talks about how Michaels failed twice despite his greatness and that is now humbled. He sort of shoves Michaels. Michaels goes for the superkick. Undertaker catches it and goes for the chokeslam. Triple H breaks it up and stares down Taker. He tells Shawn to tell Taker why he will beat him at Mania. Shawn leaves instead. Lawler clocks Swagger with a chair to cause the DQ in 1:16, then several more times to boot. He goes after Cole, who hides in the Cole Mine, so Lawler hits the Cole Mine, then tries to climb into it. He’s held back by Cole’s security. Cole throws liquid on him, then talks shit from the safety of his box.
Tonight, Cena/Rock/Miz stuff. Commercials.

Morrison decks Ziggler on the apron. Sheamus hits the Irish Curse for 2. Commercials. Morrison continues playing face in peril. Bryan tags in and locks Ziggler in the LeBell Lock. Sheamus kicks Bryan in the back of the head, then tags in and kills Bryan with a Polish Hammer. Morrison saves. Ziggler accosts Morrison and gets dropped with a Pele Kick. Sheamus sends Morrison outside. Bryan goes for the LeBell Lock. Sheamus counters, then avoids Bryan in the corner and hits the Razor’s Edge for the pin in 6:15. What the showed of it was pretty fun.

They get mad at each other and act like they’re gonna fight. WWE Champion The Miz and Alex Riley come out. Miz babbles for a while. Rock says it doesn’t matter what Miz thinks. Miz and Riley jump The Rock. Cena has disappeared. Rock makes his own comeback, knocks Riley out of the ring, and DDTs Miz and gives him the People’s Elbow, then throws him out of the ring. Cena comes back in and gives Rock the Attitude Adjustment.
Pretty good go-home show, I thought.

Todd Grisham, who is still employed, interviews Alberto Del Rio, who is not an animal.
Jack Swagger vs. Chris Masters. Jobber entrance for Masters, who I’m sure will be doing the job. They show Swagger and Cole beating up Jim Ross on Raw. Swagger beats up Masters while Cole practically masturbates at ringside. Masters hits a Samoan Drop. Masters goes for the Master Lock, but Swagger backs him into the corner and goes for the ankle lock. Masters kicks Swagger out of the ring. Swagger rams Master’s ankle into the post, then locks in the ankle lock for the win 1:56. Well, that’s done. WrestleMania hype.
The cage is being lowered. The main event is NEXT!
I’m watching the UK version of Smackdown, which includes a random “From The Vault” with part of a Triple H & Undertaker vs. Edge & Big Show match. Jim Ross and Tazz are the announcers, so this must be from 2008 or 2009.
Tony Chimel introduces Ricardo Rodriguez to introduce Alberto Del Rio.

Edge teases vandalizing the car. Del Rio begs him not to. Brodus Clay appears and attacks Edge, putting him down with a chair shot. Del Rio delivers a con-chair-to to Edge’s arm.

Fun, enjoyable, solid show.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown! 2/18/11
WWE open. Tonight is the 600th episode of Smackdown! Smackdown open, pyro and ballyhoo. Tonight, Dolph Ziggler undeservedly gets the World title handed to him. Josh Matthews, Michael Cole, and Booker T are the announcers. Tony Chimel is the ring announcer.
Edge comes out as World Champion for the 12-man tag match, which makes no sense given the angle, which also makes no sense. With this degree of double negative already, I’m pretty sure this show doesn’t exist anymore.
World Heavyweight Champion Edge, Randy Orton, John Morrison, R-Truth, Rey Mysterio Jr., & John Cena vs. CM Punk, King Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, Kane, & Dolph Ziggler. Sheamus and Edge are to start, but McIntyre asks for the tag. Edge and McIntyre lock up. McIntyre backs Edge into the corner and beats on him. Edge retaliates in kind, then boots McIntyre in the face. Truth tags in and beats up McIntyre. Ziggler tags in and gets hip tossed by Truth. Orton tags in to a big reaction and beats up Orton. Cena tags in to a mixed reaction and brawls with Ziggler. Cena gets the better of it and tags in Morrison. Ziggler kicks Morrison’s leg out from under him and puts the boots to him. Ziggler counters the Starship Pain with a sweet reverse powerslam for 2. Commercials. Sheamus suplexes Morrison for 2. Punk tags in to major boos and works over Morrison. Mysterio gets the tag and runs wild on Punk. Rebound cross body gets 2. Punk stupidly tries a sunset flip and gets kicked in the head. Cover gets 2. Mysterio counters the Go 2 Sleep with a headscissors and goes for the 619. Punk catches his legs and hits a backbreaker for 2. Kane tags in and beats up Mysterio. Kane applies a bear hug. Mysterio fights out and fights back. Mysterio avoids the chokeslam. Kane throws him out of the ring, where he’s met by a clothesline from Punk. Commercials. Barrett hits a backbreaker on Mysterio for 2. Sheamus cuts Mysterio off from making the tag and puts a beating on him. Sheamus hits the Irish Curse for 2. Barrett tags in to continue the beating. Mysterio hits a drop toe hold into the turnbuckles and follows with a moonsault body block. Edge and Ziggler tag in. Edge runs wild and hits the Edgecution. Edge goes for the spear, but is intercepted by a brogue kick from Sheamus. Morrison hits the Flying Chuck on Sheamus. Kane chokeslams Morrison. Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment on Kane. Punk hits the Go 2 Sleep on Cena. Orton hits the RKO on Punk. McIntyre hits the Future Shock on Orton. Truth hits the What’s Up on Barrett. Mysterio hits a 619 on Ziggler and Barrett. Edge spears Ziggler for the pin in 20:15. Fun match.
Vickie Guerrero comes out and screeches that Edge is stripped of the title for winning the match clean with the spear last week despite Vickie trying to fuck him. She orders him to surrender the belt so she can give it to Ziggler as a reward for losing clean over and over again. She blames Edge for taking out Teddy Long and fires him. Commercials.
WWE bullshit fact of the night.
Moments ago, Vickie Guerrero screeched about something or other.
They show Rey Mysterio breaking Cody Rhodes’ face last month.
They air a pre-taped interview with Todd Grisham and Cody Rhodes, who is wearing a protective face mask. He says he’ll be at Smackdown next week, because he’s not there tonight even though he is.
Divas tag match next! Commercials!
Clips from the first episode of Smackdown.
Michelle McCool has joined the commentary team to make my ears bleed.
WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres & Beth Phoenix vs. Layla & Maryse. Maryse slams Beth. Beth kicks her ass. Layla tags in and tries to beat up Beth, but fails. Eve tags in and runs wild on Layla. Eve has good moves, but looks awkward in the ring. McCool gets on the apron. Beth attacks her supposedly injured leg. Layla and Maryse give Eve a double kick to the gut. Layla gets the pin in 2:28. This sucked.
Next, Rock’s promo from Raw! Commercials.
They waste 11 minutes of TV time with segments of The Rock’s promo from Raw.
Earlier tonight, Edge was fired!
Tonight, Dolph Ziggler is handed the World Championship! Lou Thesz turns over in his grave! Jim Cornette throws a brick through his TV! Commercials!
Clips from the 9/13/01 Smackdown, the first big public gathering after the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
Non-Title: WWE Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston vs. WWE Champion The Miz (w/ Alex Riley). They lock up and do some go behinds. Miz works Kofi’s arm. Miz gets a side headlock and a shoulder block. Kofi hits an arm drag and cranks on Miz’s arm. Kofi hits a cross body for 2. Kofi hits another cross body for 1. Kofi hits a third cross body for 2. Kofi goes back to work on Miz’s arm. Miz gets a cheap shot and pounds on Miz in the corner. Miz takes out Kofi’s leg. Commercials. Miz keeps the beating going. Snap suplex gets 2. Kofi gets a backslide for 2. They trade blows. Kofi hits a Frankensteiner and a dropkick for 2. Yes, the Frankensteiner set up the dropkick. Kofi hits the pendulum kick and the diving cross body for 2. Miz hits the backbreaker/neckbreaker for 2. Kofi makes his comeback and hits the Boom Drop. He goes for the Trouble In Paradise, but Alberto Del Rio comes out to distract him. Miz gets a reverse cradle for 2. Kofi reverses it for 2. Riley distracts the ref. Del Rio whips Kofi with his scarf. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the pin in 10:09. Not very good. They just didn’t seem to click at all. Del Rio celebrates his amoral victory.
Some bullshit about how Smackdown has more shows than any show ever except for Gunsmoke and Raw.
Tonight, Ziggler gets the belt for no reason. Next, Santino & Kozlov vs. The Corre for the Tag Team Championship! Commercials.
WWE bullshit fact of the night.
Flashback to Eddie Guerrero celebrating his WWE Championship win in 2004.
They show The Corre’s beatdown of Santino, Kozlov, and The Big Show last week.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov (c) vs. Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater of the The Corre. Kozlov throws Gabriel around a bit. Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson come out. Gabriel and Slater take advantage of the distraction to cut Kozlov off and work him over. Santino gets the tag and runs wild. Clusterfuck ensues. Santino hits Gabriel with the Cobra. Barrett and Jackson run in to cause the DQ in 2:00. Big Show makes the save and cleans house. Zeke teases a showdown with Show, but bitches down.
Flashback to the awesome supermarket brawl between Booker T and Stone Cold Steve Austin on 12/13/01. Booker laughs at the commentary table.
Guys come out with the red flooring for the title presentation. Commercials!
Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler are in the ring. Vickie screeches and awards Ziggler the World Heavyweight Championship. The returning Teddy Long comes out and tells Vickie to STFU. Vickie cracks and says Dolph is the one who took Teddy out. Teddy says Ziggler is going to defend the title RIGHT NOW against… Edge! Commercials!
2/21/11!
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Dolph Ziggler (c) (w/ Vickie Guerrero) vs. Edge. Edge gets rolling with clotheslines and the face plant thing. Ziggler leap frogs the spear and Edge hits the turnbuckle. Ziggler beats up Edge on the outside. Back inside, cover gets 1. Ziggler grabs a chin lock. Ziggler clamps on the sleeper hold. Edge fights out. Ziggler hits the Fameasser and goes for the Zig Zag. Edge holds onto the ropes to avoid it and hits the spear for the pin in 3:02 to regain the title. Teddy Long comes back out and fires Ziggler. Edge sings the “Na na na, goodbye” song as confetti falls.
Okay show. Now I’m going to rant for a minute.
This whole situation with the title was stupid fucking bullshit. This whole feud has done nothing except bury Ziggler under the earth and give Edge’s title count a +1. The angle started with Ziggler getting pinned clean twice in a row, then backdooring his way into the #1 contendership. He lost clean as a sheet at the Rumble. He lost clean as a sheet last week. He lost clean as a sheet tonight, got handed the title, lost clean as a sheet again 5 minutes later and got fired. He’s a hell of a talent, and those whole fucking feud has done nothing but bury him. This shit has reached TNA depths of stupidity.

WWE Monday Night Raw 2/14/11
WWE open, pyro and ballyhoo. We are LIVE from Anaheim, California! Tonight, we’ll find out who’s going to host WrestleMania XXVII! Randy Orton vs. Sheamus! John Morrison vs. R-Truth! John Cena vs. CM Punk, there must be a winner! Michael Cole and Josh Matthews are the announcers. Justin Roberts is the ring announcer.
John Cena comes out and talks for a while about who might be the WrestleMania host, then makes fun of Michael Cole. He starts to talk about The Nexus, but CM Punk comes out to interrupt. They banter, and now it’s match time.
John Cena vs. CM Punk. Cena wins the lock up and peppers Punk with body shots. Cena charges the corner, but Punk avoids it and Cena hits the turnbuckles, then rolls out of the ring. Cena fights out and goes for the STF, but Punk gets the ropes. Punk puts a beating on Cena. Cena makes his comeback. Cena goes for the Attitude Adjustment, but Punk counters and hits a dropkick for 2. Punk applies a headscissors. Cena escapes and hits a gutwrench suplex for 2. Cena goes up top, but Punk drops him with a kick. Punk hits the running knee. Cena counters the bulldog, hit a drop toe hold, and goes for the STF. Punk counters and hits a swinging neckbreaker for 2. Punk goes for the Go 2 Sleep. Cena counters into a schoolboy for 2. Punk drops Cena with a high kick for 2. Punk goes for a cross body. Cena catches him and goes for the Attitude Adjustment. Punk fights it and ends up taking a bump out of the ring. A Nexus member hands Punk a chair from under the ring. Punk throws the chair in the ring and the referee turns to get rid of it. The Nexus member hands Punk a wrench, with which he hits Cena in the face. Punk hits the Go 2 Sleep for the pin in 10:37. Pretty good match.
Cole explains that Jerry Lawler isn’t here because his mother passed away. Our best to the King.
Who’s the host going to be? Commercials!
Slam of the Week: Alberto Del Rio’s attack on Edge’s arm 2 weeks ago.
Justin Roberts introduces Ricardo Rodriguez to introduce Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio cuts his usual promo about destiny. World Heavyweight Champion Edge interrupts. He talks for a bit, then kicks Del Rio’s ass. He goes for the spear, but Ricardo distracts him and gets decked. Edge bumps Del Rio off the apron into the barricade. Vickie Guerrero comes out and screeches. She introduces Dolph Ziggler as the new World Heavyweight Champion, presumably since Edge used the dreaded illegal running hug of doom on Smackdown. She says Ziggler will be coronated on Smackdown. This is fucking stupid. She says he has proof that Edge took out Teddy Long, then cackles. Again, this is fucking stupid.
Eve vs. Natalya is next. Commercials.
Tonight, WrestleMania host. Plus, The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan. I’m so pissed at the stupidity in the last segment that I’m not even excited.
The Divas title match is a lumberjill match for some reason. The Bella Twins, Tamina, Gail Kim, Maryse, Melina, and Alicia Fox are at ringside.
Lumberjill Match for the WWE Divas Championship: Eve Torres (c) vs. Natalya. They lock up and do a bit of chain wrestling. They both throw dropkicks, then slap hands and do some more stuff. Natalya rocks a surfboard. Eve manages to turn it into a cradle for 2. Natalya grabs a headlock. Eve hits a flip splash for 2. Natalya hits a discus lariat. Eve throws Natalya out of the ring. The Bellas attack her. Fight breaks out with all the women at ringside. Eve hits a cross body into a pile of them. Maryse looks hurt. Cole is laughing. Back inside, Eve and Natalya conk heads. Natalya goes for a la magistral, but Eve counters and gets the pin in 3:37. They tried, but this sucked. They shake hands. Commercials.
WWE bullshit fact of the night.
Rev Theory is in the front row.
The Bella Twins talk shit to Eve backstage, the jump her. Gail Kim and Natalya make the save. Referees try to break it up.
Chaperone trailer. Ugh.
Mark Henry comes out. Sheamus jumps him in the aisle and drops him with the brogue kick. Sheamus says that’s a message for the “fellas” in the Elimination Chamber. Henry makes it up and Sheamus gives him another brogue kick.
WWE Champion The Miz and Alex Riley are headed our way. Miz shoves down some geek backstage. Commercials.
WWE Rewind: The Miz & Ted Dibiase Jr. vs. Jerry Lawler & Daniel Bryan from last week.
Non-Title: WWE Champion The Miz (w/ Alex Riley) vs. WWE United States Champion Daniel Bryan. Riley joins Cole and Matthews for commentary. They lock up. Miz gets the obligatory headlock and shoulder block, then talks shit. They lock up again. Bryan hits some arm drags and the leap frog, drop down, dropkick. Miz goes for a superplex, but Bryan counters and hits a sunset flip powerbomb for 2. Bryan lands some vicious kicks. Miz gets a schoolboy for 2. Miz gets an inside cradle for 2. Miz hits the backbreaker and goes for the neckbreaker, but Bryan counters into a German suplex. Bryan lands a head kick for 2. Miz counters the LeBell Lock and eats an elbow. Bryan goes for something, but Miz faceplants him. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the pin in 11:57. Awesome match. My mood has improved. Miz cuts a promo after the match.
Who will host Mania?! Commercials.
WWE.com plug.
David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty of the New Nexus (w/ Mason Ryan) vs. John Morrison & R-Truth. This was supposed to be Morrison vs. Truth, but iBooker changed it. Truth jumps around with McGillicutty. Ryan trips Truth. McGillicutty sends Truth outside. Ryan gets in his cheap shot. McGillicutty rams Truth’s back into the apron. Back inside, cover gets 2. Otunga tags in and keeps the heat going on Truth. Otunga hits a suplex for 2, then applies a rear chin lock. Truth hits a backdrop suplex and makes the hot tag. Morrison runs wild and stomps the shit out of Otunga and McGillicutty, then kicks Mason Ryan and hip tosses Truth out of the ring onto him. Morrison hits McGillicutty with the running knee strike for the pin in 4:16. There ya go. Morrison and Truth brawl with Ryan after the match and send him out of the ring.
Plug for Chris Jericho’s new book, which I just started reading.
Anaheim!
Tonight, Orton vs. Sheamus! Commercials!
WWE bullshit fact of the night.
Justin Roberts introduces Ariel Winter, who plays Triple H’s daughter in that shitty movie. She screeches for a while. Great Khali and Ranjin Singh come out for the stupid Kiss Cam. The cam is going backstage too. Fans kiss. Santino Marella and Tamina kiss. Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler kiss. More fans kiss. Maryse refuses to kiss Ted Dibiase Jr. and kisses Yoshi Tatsu instead. William Regal kisses Zack Ryder on the cheek. More fans. Hornswoggle sneaks in the ring and gives Ariel a box of chocolates. She kisses him on the cheek. Hornswoggle celebrates.
Who’s going to host Mania?
Randy Orton is headed our way! Commercials!
2/21/11! Hey, that’s next week! Something’s gonna happen!
King Sheamus vs. Randy Orton. They start with a very aggressive lock up, then brawl for a while. Sheamus gets the advantage and puts a beating on Orton. Sheamus hits a slingshot shoulder block for 2. Sheamus works Orton’s shoulder. Orton fights back and gets rolling with clotheslines and a powerslam. Sheamus hits the Irish Curse for 2. Sheamus hits a superplex. Orton hits the RKO out of nowhere for the pin in 5:04. Well that was abrupt. The New Nexus jump Orton. John Morrison, R-Truth, and John Cena make the save. Orton RKOs Otunga and McGillicutty. Orton and Cena clothesline Ryan out of the ring. Punk goes for the Go 2 Sleep on Orton, but fails. Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment on Punk.
A limo arrives. A woman gets out. The Mania host will be revealed next!
The host of WrestleMania XXVII is… they do a really big, dramatic build up with the lights going out and shit. IT’S THE ROCK! Finally, The Rock has come back to Anaheim! To Monday Night Raw! Home! He lists off his various nicknames. He says he’s back for the fans and he’s never going away again. He makes jokes about Justin Bieber. He talks a little shit about The Miz. The iBooker dings in. Rock tells Cole to sit down and STFU just like old times. Rock plugs his Facebook page and threatens to stick the iBooker laptop up Cole’s candy ass. Rock talks A LOT of shit about John Cena, having taken offense to comments Cena made about Rock in the past. He says “ass” a lot, so apparently he didn’t get the PG memo. He finishes with the “If ya smell what The Rock is cookin’.” Rock poses while his music plays as the show closes.
Some parts of this show really sucked, and some were really good. I’m still pissed about the retarded way Ziggler got the title, but the Miz/Bryan match and the Rock stuff were pretty great.
