WWE Superstars 10/7/10

Superstars open.  Tonight, The Usos face The Hart Dynasty!  Todd Grisham and Matt Striker are the first announcers.  Tony Chimel is the first ring announcer.

Chris Masters vs. Vance Archer (w/ Curt Hawkins).  They lock up, then brawl.  Masters lands a dropkick.  That’s the first time I’ve ever seen that.  Masters hits a diving shoulder block for 2.  Masters works Archer’s arm.  Archer beats up Masters in the corner.  Archer applies a neck & shoulder hold briefly, then pounds on Masters some more.  Archer hits a sit-out assbreaker or something for 2, then applies a rear chin lock.  Masters goes for the Master Lock.  Archer drops and sends him out of the ring to avoid it.  Insta-commercials.  Archer lands a clothesline for 2.  Archer cranks on Masters’ shoulder some more.  Masters makes his comeback and hits a spinebuster for 2.  Archer drops Masters with a boot that sends him out of the ring.  Hawkins and Archer yell at Masters.  Archer goes for a clothesline, but accidentally nails Hawkins.  This understandably upsets Hawkins.  Back inside, Masters takes advantage of Hawkins’ distraction and locks in the Master Lock for the referee stop win (6:38 shown).  Boring match.  Hawkins attacks Archer after the match and gives him the diving elbow drop.  I don’t see the point of splitting them up.  They’re not going to do anything with either of them.  Then again, they weren’t doing anything with them to start with.

NXT recap.  I fast forward.

WWE bullshit fact of the night.

Justin Roberts is now the ring announcer.  Scott Stanford and Jerry Lawler are now the announcers.  Who the fuck is Scott Stanford?

William Regal vs. Darren Young.  They lock up and trade holds.  It’s awesome.  It appears Young is a competent chain wrestler.  It’s awesome.  They trade a bunch of arm locks.  I FUCKING LOVE GOOD CHAIN WRESTLING.  Young backs Regal into the corner.  Regal headbutts him and sets out to maul a fucker.  Regal pulls Young up by his hair and drops him.  Awesome!  Regal blats him with European uppercuts.  Regal nails an elbow smash for 2.  Regal mauls Young’s face because he’s William Motherfucking Regal and that’s what he does.  They trade shots.  Young gets the better of it and makes his comeback.  Young lands a big kick for 2.  Regal pulls his arm into the top rope, then kills him with the knee trembler for the pin in 4:13.  I loved this.  Awesome little TV match.

Tonight, The Harts vs. The Usos!

Alberto Del Rio hype video.

Raw Rebound.

The main event is NEXT!

The Hart Dynasty vs. Jimmy & Jey Uso (w/ Tamina).  Kidd starts with one of the Usos.  I forgot which one had the tattoo, so I can’t tell them apart.  Kidd rolls through into a leg lock, but Uso gets the ropes.  Smith tags in and hits the Uso with a powerslam for 2.  Lawler calls it a scoop slam because he’s an idiot.  Uso slaps Smith hard and tags in the other Uso.  Sanford says it’s Jey.  I believe him because his voice is pleasant.  Smith hits a World’s Strongest Slam for 2.  Kidd tags in and locks in a Fujiwara armbar.  Smith tags in and hits a belly to belly suplex for 2.  Kidd tags in and hits a diving axe handle for 2.  Kidd works Jey’s arm.  Some stuff happens and Kidd ends up hitting a suicide dive on both Usos.  Insta-commercials.  Kidd missed a springboard elbow drop during the break, so the Usos have the advantage.  Kidd drops them both with a dropkick and makes the tag to Smith.  Smith runs wild and hits a big leg drop on Jey.  Cover, then he gets up to knock Jimmy off the ring.  Jey bails.  Smith throws him back in.  Tamina trips Smith, allowing Jey to get in a cheap shot and get the advantage.  Usos work over Smith.  Kidd breaks a cover attempt, which distracts the referee so the Usos can double team Smith.  The Usos keep the heat on Smith.  Smith catches Jimmy with a belly to belly suplex and makes the hot tag to Kidd.  Kidd hits a swank spinning Fisherman suplex for 2.  Kidd goes for something off the top, gets knocked to the apron, rallies, and hits an avalanche-style Frankensteiner.  Jey saves.  Smith and Jey are sent out.  Jimmy hits Kidd with a dropkick and the Superfly splash for the pin (10:41 shown).  Good match.

The first match sucked, but the last 2 were good, and one of the good ones was awesome, so I give the show a thumbs up.
